The Beaux-Arts designed Terminal Station originally opened in 1909 as a passenger rail station for Southern Railways opening a pathway to connect the North to the South hosting many iconic and historic passengers. Closed as a passenger rail station in 1970, the Terminal Station was reopened in 1973 and renovated again in 1989 as The Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel. Fast forward to 2015 and current day, The Chattanooga Choo Choo continues to go through a metamorphosis as the premier Entertainment destination of the Southside in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Boasting over two acres of gardens in the recently dedicated Glenn Miller Gardens, 133 hotel rooms and train car suites, 500 on site residences, multiple restaurants and bars, a comedy club, a vintage guitar museum, and venues.
